Salamanca

The city of Salamanca is home to the largest Oil Refinery of Mexico and Latin America, "Refineria Antonio M. Amor". Other good things to see there is the beutiful Gothic Ex-Convent of San Agustin. And the other precious colonial church buildings. This city was declared a town 450 years ago. Crafted decorated candles are one of the local handmade crafts. It's name was initially "Xidoo" but was changed after the spanish presence.

To Whom It May Concern: I work for the City of Sacramento Start program in Sacramento, California. We are currently working with a cirriculum called "Worldscapes". The students travel around the world and visit other countries to embrace other cultures. I would love if the students from my class could become pen pals with a school in Mexico to help them better understand the children there. If this is possible you may contact me @ tvereen-03@hotmail.com Thank you in advance for your attention regarding this matter.
